Broadway Couple Jenny Powers and Matt Cavenaugh Welcome a Baby Son

It’s a boy for Jenny Powers and Matt Cavenaugh: The Broadway couple welcomed a son, George Matthew Cavenaugh, on July 24. The baby weighed in at seven pounds, two ounces and is 20 inches long.

According to the proud new parents, "George Matthew Cavenaugh shares a birthday with Jenny's dad, which is incredible. Mom and baby are doing very well. All [we] can say is that George is definitely soothed by music. But he does have these incredibly big feet, which make us think he could be the next LeBron."

Powers has appeared on Broadway in Grease and Little Women and off-Broadway in Happiness. Cavenaugh’s Broadway credits include West Side Story, Grey Gardens, A Catered Affair and Urban Cowboy. Off-Broadway, he has appeared in Death Takes a Holiday.

Powers and Cavenaugh collaborated on the CD Gonna Make You Love Me and performed together at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency on June 18, a month before the birth of baby George. Congratulations to all!
