Casting is complete for the world premiere of Francine Volpe’s drama The Good Mother. Darren Goldstein, Alfredo Narciso, Eric Nelsen and Bill Sage join previously announced star Gretchen Mol in the psychological thriller. Directed by Scott Elliott, the New Group production is set to begin previews October 29, with an official opening night on November 15 at off-Broadway's Theatre Row. The production is slated to play a limited engagement through December 22.
The Good Mother is the story of Larissa (Mol), a single mother who can barely meet the mortgage on her house in Mount Vernon, New York. When a bizarre incident involving her four-year-old daughter forces her to face someone from her past, Larissa’s own questionable actions come back to haunt her.
