Bring It On has stuck its landing on Broadway! Set in the world of high school cheerleading, the new musical portrays the growing pains and unexpected bonds formed through the thrill of extreme competition. Broadway.com resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson headed to the St. James Theatre to catch the coming-of-age tale, which centers on cheerleading captain Campbell, a teen queen knocked from her throne when she is forced to transfer high schools senior year. For his portrait, Squiggs captures Campbell (Taylor Louderman) torn between the two very different worlds of Truman and Jackson high schools. Check out Squigs’ sketch of this thrilling new musical, co-starring Adrienne Warren, Jason Gotay, Elle McLemore, Ryann Redmond, Ariana Debose, Gregory Haney, Neil Haskell, Janet Krupin, Kate Rockwell, Nicolas Womack and Dominique Johnson, then get fired up and see Bring It On live before the limited engagement ends on October 7!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
