The Keen Company's 2012-13 season will include Stephen Sondheim's Marry Me A Little and a newly revised version of A.R. Gurney's The Old Boy. Jonathan Silverman will direct both productions which will run at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre. No casting or further creative team members have been announced for either production.
Comprised of many of Sondheim's lesser known songs, Marry Me A Little follows two single neighbors who've never met, spending their Saturday night alone, not knowing potential compainionship is just a floor away. The production begins its run September 11 and runs through October 21, with opening night set for October 2. The musical features songs such as "Saturday Night," "So Many People," "Silly People" (cut from A Little Night Music), "Can That Boy Foxtrot!", "Who Could Be Blue?" (cut from Follies), Happily Ever After" (cut from Company) and more.
The Old Boy begins its run February 12, 2013. The play follows a successful politicitian as he returns to his elite prep school to dedicate a building to the memory of his best friend. Past and present collide as he must make a public and surprising decision.
