Glee star Amber Riley is set to make her New York stage debut in Cotton Club Parade at City Center this fall, joining the ranks of her talented theater vet co-stars like Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Darren Criss and Jane Lynch. Broadway.com asked readers which Glee star should be the next to make his or her stage debut. The results are in…and it’s a landslide! Check out the results below.
1. Chris Colfer – 55%
After making his TV debut as the fashionable, openly gay glee-clubber Kurt Hummel, it’s no surprise fans want to see Colfer light up the stage! In 2011, Colfer was named one of Time magazine’s most influential people in the world. When he’s not singing and dancing up a storm on Glee, Colfer is writing and directing films (Struck by Lightning) and penning novels (The Land of Stories).
2. Naya Rivera – 15%
On Glee, Naya Rivera boasts some serious attitude and killer pipes as cheerleader-slash-New Directions star Santana Lopez. After making the Maxim Hot 100 list in 2010, Rivera was signed to Columbia Records and will reportedly release a solo album. If fans had their way, Rivera would be singing center stage!
3. Dianna Agron – 5%
As Quinn Fabray on Glee, Dianna Agron won audiences over with the touching story of her unexpected pregnancy and adoption and recent car crash injuries. Throughout her emotional ups and downs on the hit series, fans clearly think Agron has what it takes to star in her own stage show.
