On August 11, The Newsroom star John Gallagher, Jr. kicked off the inaugural edition of the web series The Daily at the Daily and sat down for a chat with host Michelle Ruiz. The Tony winner had music on his mind, and announced he’d be jamming alongside Jeff Daniels on guitar in a forthcoming episode of the hit HBO news drama. The Spring Awakening alum also mused about appearing on a future episode of Glee alongside his former Broadway co-stars Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff—not as a guest star, but as an extra. “I’d like to just have one line and come in and deliver it very badly,” Gallagher joked, adding he’d like to play someone who is “obviously way too old to go to that school.” We beg to differ!
