Broadway alum Jessica Phillips has been tapped for the FX sitcom pilot Bronx Warrants, according to the New York Post. Phillips will star as Adele alongside Robert Kelly (Ghost Town) as DeStefano, Adele’s husband. Based on the real lives of David Joglar and Richard Wetzel, Bronx Warrants is created and co-produced by Dean Lorey, Rescue Me co-creator/star Denis Leary and Jim Serpico and directed by five-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis. Joglar and Wetzel are also set to co-produce.
Bronx Warrants is the story of a group of detectives who are assigned to arrest individuals with outstanding warrants. Bonuses are paid for each person they bring in. In addition to Phillips and Kelly, Bronx Warrants will star Godfrey as TJ and Josh Segarra as Morales.
Phillips has appeared on Broadway in Leap of Faith, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Next to Normal and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Her additional theater credits include It’s Only Life and Gods of Autumn.
