Lee Roy Rogers, Susannah Flood and Dina Thomas are set to star in off-Broadway’s Tribes beginning September 4. Rogers will succeed Mare Winningham as Beth, Flood will replace Susan Pourfar as Sylvia and Thomas will succeed Gayle Rankin as Ruth in Nina Raine’s British drama. Directed by David Cromer, Tribes is currently playing at off-Broadway’s Barrow Street Theatre.
Rogers, Flood and Thomas will join current cast members Russell Harvard as Billy, Jeff Still as Christopher and Will Brill as Daniel. Tribes is the story of Billy (Harvard), a deaf man who struggles to be understood in his opinionated hearing family. Tribes originally opened at the Barrow Street Theatre on March 4.
Rogers’ off-Broadway credits include Orson’s Shadow, When the Rain Stops Falling and Children of a Lesser God. Her film and TV credits include The Book of Daniel, Canterbury’s Law and Law & Order: CI. Flood appeared off-Broadway in As You Like It. Her additional theater credits include Okay, Bird in the Hand and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Thomas will make her off-Broadway debut in Tribes. Her regional theater credits include See How They Run, Release Point, Green Whales, Miss Witherspoon, Distracted and Hungry.
