Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera veteran Ramin Karimloo will join Lee Mead and Stephen Rahman-Hughes as part of the singing group The West End Men for concert dates this fall. Karimloo steps in for Matt Rawle, who left the group to star in the West End production of Cabaret. Karimloo will perform with the group for their engagements at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow (November 14), the Sage in Gateshead (November 20) and De Montfort Hall (November 23).
The musical group, who are directed by Mitch Sebastian, combines live musicians and a full choir for a sharp and sexy musical theater concert.
Karimloo originated the role of the Phantom in the West End production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera sequel, Love Never Dies. He has also starred in Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera, both in the West End. He played the Phantom again in the 25th Anniversary concert of The Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall in London. His other theater credits include Pirates of Penzance, Jesus Christ Superstar and Miss Saigon.
