It’s shaping up to be a very starry fall on the Great White Way, which inspired Broadway.com’s resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson to pick up his pens for a special season preview portrait. Scroll down and enjoy this super-duper Squigs, and see how many of the actors and shows you can identify. Top row, from left: Stephanie J. Block and Chita Rivera (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Paul Rudd (Grace) and Norbert Leo Butz and Katie Holmes (Dead Accounts). Middle row: Douglas Hodge (Cyrano de Bergerac), Debra Winger and Patti LuPone (The Anarchist) and Cheyenne Jackson (The Performers). Front row: Amy Morton and Tracy Letts (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), Jessica Chastain (The Heiress) and Bobby Cannavale and Al Pacino (Glengarry Glen Ross). Eagle eyes will also notice nods to Chaplin, Scandalous and Annie. Enjoy!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
