The exciting spectacle Fuerza Bruta: Look Up will close off-Broadway after a successful five year run. Fuerza Bruta will play its final show on November 11, after more than 1,500 performances at the Daryl Roth Theatre.
Fuerza Bruta is described as a non-stop collision of dynamic music, visceral emotion and kinetic aerial imagery. The show's visual effects include a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls and women frolicking in a watery world suspended just inches above the audience.
Fuerza Bruta premiered in Buenos Aires in 2005 and has been staged in Lisbon, London, Buenos Aires and Bogota, with runs also planned for the Ediburgh Fringe Festival, Berlin and Hamburg. The New York production opened in October 2007 and was initially scheduled for an 18-week run through February 2008.
The show was created by Diqui James, the co-founder and co-creator of similar off-Broadway spectacle De La Guarda, as well as the show's composer and musical director Gaby Kerpel, technical director Alejandro Garcia and production supervisor Fabio Daquila.
