Tickets are now on sale for the special Actors Fund benefit performance of the Tony-winning musical The Book of Mormon. The performance takes place September 13 at 2 PM at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. All proceeds from the performance will go towards The Actors Fund, which provides programs for performing arts professionals including social services, health care and insurance, housing and employment services.
Featuring a score and book by Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez, The Book of Mormon follows two mismatched Mormon missionaries as they are sent to Uganda to spread their religion. Upon arrival they learn their training may not have quite prepared them for the many challenges they are about to face. The show earned nine Tony Awards including Best Musical.
The current cast of The Book of Mormon includes Nic Rouleau as Elder Price, Cale Krise as Elder Cunningham and original cast members Nikki M. James as Nabalungi, Rory O’Malley as Elder McKinley and Michael Potts as Mafala Hatimbi.
