Young Jean Lee’s musical We’re Gonna Die begins performances September 12 at Lincoln Center Theater’s Claire Tow Theater. Directed by Paul Lazar and written and performed by Lee, We’re Gonna Die will play four performances only through September 15.
In We’re Gonna Die, Young Jean Lee takes the stage with her band Future Wife (composed of Mike Hanf, Andrew Hoepfner, Nick Jenkins and Ben Kupstas) in a life-affirming show about the thing everyone has in common: death. Featuring music by Future Wife and choreography by Faye Driscoll, We’re Gonna Die first premiered at Joe’s Pub in 2011.
We’re Gonna Die is presented as part of Lincoln Center Theater’s LCT3 program, an initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists as well as developing new audiences.
