Tickets are now on sale for Jeffrey Hatcher’s new play Ten Chimneys. The bio comedy about legendary Broadway stage couple Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne will star real life stage couple Byron Jennings and Carolyn McCormick. Directed by Dan Wackerman, Ten Chimneys begins performances September 21 at off-Broadway’s Theatre at St. Clements, with an official opening night set for September 30.
Presented by the Peccadillo Theater Company, Ten Chimneys takes a close look at the backstage lives of legendary Broadway stage stars Alfred Lunt (Jennings) and Lynn Fontanne (McCormick). Set at the couple’s Wisconsin estate in 1938, love triangles and family dysfunction reveal themselves when the rehearsal process for an upcoming production of Chekhov’s The Seagull becomes a true-to-life plot involving a young actress named Uta Hagen.
In addition to Jennings and McCormick, the cast features Lucy Martin as Lunt's mother Hattie and Michael McCarty as Sydney Greenstreet, as well as Charlotte Booker, Julia Bray and John Wernke.
Ten Chimneys’ creative team includes scenic and lighting designer Harry Feiner and costume designer Sam Fleming.
