Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda will have a recurring role on the upcoming NBC drama Do No Harm opposite Steven Pasquale. Miranda will play the attending clinical pharmacologist at the Philadelphia hospital where Jeffrey Cole (Pasquale) works. The series is expected to premiere in early 2013.
Do No Harm is the story of neurosurgeon Jeffrey Cole (Pasquale), who struggles to keep his alter-ego Ian Price under wraps. Cole grapples with his dangerous other half as Price threatens to destroy his personal relationships and career. The cast also includes Broadway veterans Phylicia Rashad and Michael Esper, as well as Alana De La Garza, Mousa Kraish and Ruta Gedmintas.
Miranda earned a Tony Award for the score of In the Heights, and an additional nomination for also starring in the musical. He is currently represented on Broadway as the co-composer and lyricist of Bring It On. His film and TV credits include Modern Family, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, House M.D. and The Electric Company.
