Get a Sneak Peek at the Southern Ladies of the New Steel Magnolias Movie

Get your tissues ready because the '80s tearjerker Steel Magnolias is getting a modern update as a Lifetime movie remake debuts this October. Featuring Tony winner Phylicia Rashad, her daughter Tony nominee Condola Rashad and Oscar nominees Queen Latifah and Alfre Woodard, Steel Magnolias follows a group of Southern women as they experiences the joys and pains of life, motherhood and friendship. The movie (based on Robert Harling’s 1987 play) won't air until October 7, but here’s a sneak peek of a scene in which Shelby (Condola Rashad) tries to set up the grumpy and lonely Miss Ouiser (Woodard) only to incur her wrath.
