Missi Pyle has signed on for at least one episode of NBC’s upcoming political comedy 1600 Penn, starring and co-created by former Book of Mormon star Josh Gad, according to TV Guide. Pyle will play Agent Sarah Harlan, a Secret Service agent assigned to keep watch over the President’s daughter Becca (Martha MacIsaac).
Set in the White House, 1600 Penn follows the fictional Gilchrist family, a dysfunctional family that just happens to live in the most famous house in the country. The series stars Bill Pullman as the President of the United States, Jenna Elfman as the First Lady, Gad as their son Skip, Amara Miller, Benjamin Stockham and Andre Holland. Theater alum Stacy Keach recently signed on for a guest spot on the show.
Pyle made her Broadway debut in 2008 in Boeing-Boeing and will star in the upcoming off-Broadway revival of Bare. She is well known to audiences for her numerous film and TV credits, including The Artist, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Big Fish and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
