Uh oh...better hide the dishes! After scoring a Tony nomination earlier this year Tom Edden is returning to the West End production of One Man, Two Guvnors, as aging, bumbling pub waiter Alfie. Edden begins performances in the acclaimed farce on November 19, joining current star Owain Arthur as the hungry, hungry Frances Henshall.
Set in the swinging ‘60s in London, One Man, Two Guvnors follows an absent-minded oaf (Arthur) who finds himself tending to two employers whose lives become increasingly tangled.
The London production of One Man, Two Guvnors opened at the National Theatre in May 2011, and will launch its second U.K. tour in October, with an international tour to follow in February 2013. The Broadway production starred Tony winner James Corden and ended its run at the Music Box Theatre in September.
Edden earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his Broadway debut performance in the hit comedy. His U.K. theater credits include Oliver!, 101 Dalmatians, Hamlet, Summer Lightning, The Picture of Dorian Gray, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Importance of Being Earnest.
