Ryan Murphy is like the new Aaron Spelling, just a lot more twisted. Murphy will soon add two new series to his impressive resume alongside his three current shows Glee, American Horror Story and The New Normal, according to Deadline.com. Murphy’s company Ryan Murphy Television has sold two new projects: the drama Montauk to FOX, and an untitled comedy to NBC.
Set in the Long Island town of the same name, FOX’s Montauk, written by Apollo 18 scribe Brian Miller, is a family thriller set against one of the biggest conspiracies in American history. The untitled NBC comedy will be a half-hour sitcom written and co-created by Matt Spicer and Max Winkler, with Winkler directing. Exact etails about the project are being kept quiet for now.
Knowing Murphy's love of stage stars like Andrew Rannells (The New Normal) and Lea Michele (Glee), hopefully great theater actors will land gigs on both projects!
