Who knew Peter Parker was a fan of Edward Cullen? Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark star Reeve Carney will be featured on the Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 soundtrack. Carney recorded an original track, titled “New For You,” for the final installment of the hugely popular vampire romance saga. The album will be available November 13 with the movie arriving in theaters on November 16.
Carney tweeted that he is “so honored” to be a part of the soundtrack, which also includes a song from Green Day, whose Grammy Award-winning album was the basis for the Broadway musical American Idiot. Other artists contributing to the album include Ellie Goulding, Passion Pit, Feist and Christina Perri.
Carney made his Broadway debut as Peter Parker and his super hero alias Spider-Man in Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark. In addition to being the front man for his band Carney, he has appeared on screen in The Tempest and is gearing up to play Jeff Buckley in a bio film of the late rocker. Carney has also been romantically linked to Twilight star Ashley Greene.
