Just in time for the election, Lewis Black's new solo comedy, Lewis Black: Running on Empty, begins Broadway performances October 9 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The show will run just eight performances through October 20.
The comedian is known for his dark humor and angry rants, and Running on Empty is no exception. Black focuses on the presidential election, and lambasts both candidates. To Black, Mitt Romney is so white he makes George W. Bush "look Jamaican," and Barack Obama's supply of hope is a "worthless commodity."
Black is best known for his appearances on TV's The Daily Show and his various stand-up specials including Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil. He also earned two Grammys for Best Comedy Album for The Carnegie Hall Performance and Stark Raving Black.
