Tickets are now available for the world premiere production of David Mamet's The Anarchist. Starring Oscar nominee Debra Winger and Patti LuPone, performances of the prison drama begin at the Golden Theatre on November 13, with an opening night set for December 2.
Set in a women’s prison, The Anarchist is a two-character play about an inmate with a radical past (LuPone) who asks the female prison official (Winger) for parole. While Mamet is famous for keeping mum about his projects, a press announcement for the play described The Anarchist as "a new play about passion, deception, religion and revolution."
Written and directed by Mamet, The Anarchist will feature set and costume design by Patrizia von Brandenstein and lighting design by Jeff Croiter.
