Tickets are on sale for Theresa Rebeck’s new comedy Dead Accounts, which will have no shortage of star power come opening night. Katie Holmes, Norbert Leo Butz, Judy Greer, Jayne Houdyshell and Josh Hamilton star in the new play about money, greed and a family in frenzy.
Directed by three-time Tony winner Jack O'Brien, Dead Accounts revolves around Jack (Butz), whose sudden return home throws his family—including sister Lorna (Holmes) and mother Barbara (Houdyshell)—into full crisis mode. Lorna presses for answers about Jack’s intentions, his new fortune and the whereabouts of his much-loathed wife Jenny (Greer). Hamilton will play Phil, a childhood friend of Jack’s.
The play begins previews on November 3 and opens on November 29 at the Music Box Theatre. In addition to the all-star cast, the show features scenic design by five-time Tony nominee David Rockwell, costumes by five-time Tony winner Catherine Zuber, lighting by David Weiner and sound/original music by Mark Bennett.
