The Doctor Is In! James Moye Joins Off-Broadway's Silence! The Musical
Million Dollar Quartet alum James Moye will join the company of Silence! The Musical, the off-Broadway musical spoof of the Oscar-winning film Silence of the Lambs. Moye will replace original cast member Harry Bouvy as Dr. Hannibal Lecter’s nemesis Dr. Chilton beginning October 12. Also featured in the cast are David Ayers, Pamela Bob, Ashlee Dupré, Stephen Hanna, Howard Kaye, Topher Nuccio, Ronica V. Reddick, Kimberly Stern and Doug Trapp.
In Silence! The Musical, winner of the 2012 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, to catch the mysterious serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. Silence! features a book by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Christopher Gattelli.
Moye has appeared on Broadway in Urinetown, The Full Monty, Ragtime and A Tale of Two Cities. His other credits include Happiness, Closer Than Ever and Dogfight.
