The New Normal is about to get heaping serving of ex-boyfriend drama, according to Deadline.com. Show creator Ryan Murphy has cast White Collar star Matt Bomer to play Bryan’s (Andrew Rannells) “sexy ex-boyfriend” on an upcoming episode of the NBC comedy.
This marks Bomer's second appearance on a Murphy TV show this year. Bomer had a big guest spot on the third season of Glee as the older, self absorbed brother of Blaine (Darren Criss). The dashing Magic Mike star will also appear in Murphy’s upcoming film adaptation of the Tony-winning drama The Normal Heart. In 2011 he appeared on Broadway in the one-night-only benefit reading of 8.
No word yet on if Bomer is going for the Murphy trifecta with a guest spot on American Horror Story, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled just in case.
