Deanna Jent’s new play Falling offers a look inside the world of a family raising a teenager with severe autism and violent tendencies. The drama, directed by Lori Adams and starring Broadway veterans Julia Murney and Daniel Everidge, officially opens at off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theater on October 15.
Completing Murney and Everidge’s onstage family are Celia Howard as Grammy Sue, Daniel Pearce as Bill and Jacey Powers as Lisa.
Falling follows an autistic 18-year-old named Josh (Everidge) as his family is on the brink of collapse. When his well-meaning grandmother comes to visit, Josh’s entire family is thrown off their equilibrium, with each member trying to balance what is best for the clan with his or her own personal interests.
