Will Idol Alum Jessica Sanchez Be Finn’s New Love Interest on Glee?

American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez has landed a recurring role on Glee, according to TVLine.com. Rumors are swirling that Sanchez will be Finn’s (Corey Monteith) new love interest post-Rachel (Lea Michele). No word yet on when Sanchez’s first episode will air.

Sanchez nearly won American Idol’s 11th season in early 2012. She will release her debut album in November through Interscope Records. Glee will mark her first acting role, though she is considered a frontrunner to star as Kim in the big screen adaptation of the Miss Saigon. Broadway fans will remember that during Idol’s big finale, Sanchez joined Tony winner Jennifer Holliday for an unforgettable rendition of “And I Am Telling You” from the musical Dreamgirls.

So what songs might Sanchez tackle during her appearance? "With voices like Jessica, Lea, Naya, Melissa, Amber, and Jenna...Streisand episode?" the show's creator Ryan Murphy tweeted. Something tells us Lea Michele would be verrrry happy with that. "
