Closer Than Ever Sets Early Closing Date Off-Broadway

The York Theatre Company’s revival of Closer Than Ever will play its final off-Broadway performance on November 4. The revival opened on June 15 at the York Theatre at Saint Peter’s, and had originally planned to run through November 25. The show will have played 150 performances at the time of closing

Closer Than Ever is a revue featuring music from Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire. The show is an exploration of love, friendship, security, happiness – and the struggle to hold onto those essentials in a world that pulls us in a hundred directions.

Maltby directs this new production, which also features associate direction and choreography by Kurt Stamm and musical direction by Andrew Gerle. The cast includes Jacquelyn Piro Donovan, George Dvorsky, Anika Larsen and Sal Viviano.
