Tickets are now on sale for The Good Mother, the world premiere production of Francine Volpe’s dramatic thriller starring Gretchen Mol. Directed by Scott Elliott, the New Group production is set to begin previews October 29 at off-Broadway’s Theatre Row, with an official opening night scheduled for November 15. The show will play a limited engagement through December 22.
The Good Mother tells the story of Larissa, a single mom who can barely meet the mortgage on her house in Mount Vernon, New York. When a bizarre incident involving her four-year-old daughter forces Larissa to face a person from her past, her own questionable actions come back to haunt her.
The cast for The Good Mother also includes Darren Goldstein, Mark Blum, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen. The creative team consists of set designer Derek McLane, costume designer Cynthia Rowley, lighting designer Jason Lyons and sound designer Bart Fasbender.
