Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose is slated to return to CBS’s legal drama The Good Wife during its current fourth season, according to TVLine.
Rose will reprise her role as Wendy Scott-Carr, a merciless lawyer who returns to Stern, Lockhart & Gardner for another case. Rose is set for one episode, although exec producer Robert King teased that her role could extend to three episodes.
In past seasons, Rose’s ruthless attorney tried to send Will (Josh Charles) to prison, was defeated in an election for state’s attorney and was hired as a special prosecutor by Alicia (Julianna Margulies).
Rose currently recurs on Private Practice as Corrine Bennett. She won a 2004 Tony Award for her performance in Caroline, or Change, having previously appeared in Footloose. She followed up her Tony win with a starring role in the 2008 revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Her film credits include The Princess and the Frog, For Colored Girls and Dreamgirls.
