Mr. Schuester is getting into the holiday spirit! Glee’s resident choirmaster Matthew Morrison will perform a holiday concert on November 16 at Connecticut's Belding Theater at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, reports the Hartford Courant.
The Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee will be backed by a full orchestra as he performs an evening of standards and holiday music. The concert (Morrison’s only scheduled East Coast appearance this year) will be taped by Connecticut Public Television and will air on PBS beginning this spring.
Morrison was nominated for a Tony Award in 2005 for his performance in the original Broadway cast of The Light in the Piazza. His additional Broadway credits include South Pacific, Hairspray, The Rocky Horror Show, Footloose and A Naked Girl on the Appian Way. Morrison earned Emmy recognition for his role as Will Schuester on FOX’s Glee and will release his second solo album in 2013 through Adam Levine’s 222 Records.
