Full casting has been announced for the West End production of Seussical. Performances begin December 4 at the Arts Theatre, with opening night set for December 6. Directed by Phillip Rowntree, the musical will run through January 6, 2013.
Joining previously announced star David Hunter as Horton the Elephant are Kirsty Marie Ayers as Gertrude McFuzz, Jessica Parker as Mazie La Bird, Clark Devlin as Jojo, Natalie Green as Sour Kangaroo and Joe Morrow as the Cat in the Hat. The cast will also feature Philip Scutt, Joe McCourt and Mathew Waters as the Wickersham Brothers, in addition to Amy Punter, Tanya Shields and Jennifer Low as Bird Girls.
This new Theatre for Young Audiences version of Seussical is a compact 80-minute retelling of the Broadway show created by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and Monty Python's Eric Idle. The production will feature choreography by Cressida Carre, design by Richard Evans and lighting design by Alexander Ridgers.
