Former The Book of Mormon star Josh Gad is officially moving into the White House this winter. Gad's new NBC comedy 1600 Penn, in which he plays the son of the President of the United States, will being its run on January 10, 2013, according to TVLine.com.
1600 Penn follows a dysfunctional First Family in which the out-of-control oldest son (Gad) returns home and becomes not only its biggest liability, but also the glue holding everyone together. Bill Pullman and Jenna Elfman star as Gad's parents, with Benjamin Stocham, Martha MacIsaac and Amara Miller also among the cast.
In addition to starring in the series, Gad serves as co-executive producer. The first season will feature a guest spot from the Tony nominee's former Book of Mormon co-star Rory O'Malley as well as Bare star Missi Pyle and Other Desert Cities' Stacy Keach.
