Andrea McArdle to Release New Album Calendar Dream in 2013

Tony nominee Andrea McArdle will release a new album, Calendar Dream, through Broadway Records in 2013. An anagram for McArdle’s name, Calendar Dream will feature 13 new songs (a song for each month of the year, with an additional tune about the year in the life of a recently single woman starting a new chapter).

Calendar Dream will feature new songs written by John Kander, Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, Tim Rice & Alan Menken, Maury Yeston, Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey, Rupert Holmes, Carol Hall, Henry Krieger & Scott Logsdon, Menken & David Zippel, Dana Rowe & Maribeth Graham and Amanda Green. The release marks the second upcoming album for McArdle: as previously announced a live recording of her 54 Below concert, 70s and Sunny, will be released on December 11.

McArdle will step in as the star of the off-Broadway musical revue NEWSical the Musical on November 14. She received a Tony nomination for originating the title role in the 1977 Broadway production of Annie. McArdle has also appeared on Broadway in Starlight Express, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, State Fair and alongside Carol Channing and Leslie Uggams in the tour of Jerry’s Girls.
