Caissie Levy, Tony winner Adriane Lenox, Benjamin Walker and Lorenzo Pisoni will all be on hand to perform at a one-night-only benefit performance organized by Broadway actors Bryce Pinkham (Ghost) and Lucas Rooney (Golden Boy). The Big Ol’ Fancy Pants Benefit concert will play the 52nd Street Project Theater on November 26.
The benefit will include performances by jazz musician Kate Schutt and John Batiste’s Stay Human Band. Proceeds from the event will go to Zara Aina, an organization founded by Pinkham and Rooney that pairs New York acting students with at-risk kids in Madagascar to create original works of theater. The organization’s charity efforts will culminate in a national tour of Madagascar in spring 2013.
Levy and Walker have both starred on Broadway with Pinkham in Ghost (Levy) and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Walker). Lenox won a 2005 Tony Award for her performance in Doubt and has appeared in Caroline, or Change, Kiss Me, Kate and Chicago. Pisoni appeared on Broadway with Rooney in a 2003 revival of Henry IV.
