When a play is set in Las Vegas on the day of the Adult Film Awards, you can bet it’s filled with colorful characters who have verrrrry few inhibitions. That’s certainly the case with The Performers, David West Read’s hilarious sex comedy of manners. Broadway.com resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson headed to the Longacre Theatre to see the show, then used an appropriately Day-Glo color scheme for his portrait of stars (from left) Daniel Breaker, Jenni Barber, Cheyenne Jackson, Ari Graynor, Henry Winkler and Alicia Silverstone. Enjoy this porntastic portrait, then see The Performers with a consenting adult you love!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
