Patti Issues, Ben Rimalower's solo play about his love of Tony winner Patti LuPone, has extended its run for a fourth time at The Duplex. The show will now continue through February 28, 2013.
Written and performed by Rimalower, the autobiographical show explores Rimalower’s turbulent childhood spent growing up with a gay father, and the solace he found in following LuPone's career.
Patti Issues is directed by Aaron Mark and debuted at The Duplex on August 30. LuPone herself stopped by the Greenwich Village piano bar on September 6 to check out the show. LuPone is currently starring in David Mamet’s new play The Anarchist, which began previews on November 13 at the Golden Theatre. The Anarchist is set to officially open on December 2.
