Daniel Sullivan’s star-studded revival of Glengarry Glen Ross celebrates its Broadway opening night on December 8. Al Pacino and Bobby Cannavale stars as Shelly Levine and Ricky Roma, respectively, in this new production of the classic David Mamet play. Glengarry Glen Ross will run at the Schoenfeld Theatre through January 20, 2013.
In addition to Pacino and Cannavale, Glengarry Glen Ross stars Tony nominee David Harbour as John Williamson, John C. McGinley as Dave Moss, Emmy winner Richard Schiff as George Aaronow, Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos as James Lingk and Murphy Guyer as Detective Baylen.
Glengarry Glen Ross follows a group of salesman in a Chicago real estate office competing for leads on potential clients. Glengarry Glen Ross first opened on Broadway on March 25, 1984 at the Golden Theatre and earned four Tony nominations, including Best Play. A 2005 revival starring Liev Schreiber, Alan Alda, Jeffrey Tambor and Tom Wopat won the Tony for Best Revival of a Play.
Sullivan’s revival was initially scheduled to open on Broadway on November 11, but pushed the date back due to rehearsal time lost during Hurricane Sandy, and the previously scheduled openings of other Broadway shows.
