TV and film heartthrob Dylan McDermott bundled up and made his way to the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre on November 28 to check out Eve Ensler's moving new play
Emotional Creature. The
American Horror Story star was legally adopted by Ensler when he was 15 years old, and she encouraged him to pursue an acting career and began writing roles for him into her plays. McDermott appeared in the off-Broadway production of Ensler's
The Treatment in 2006, and was last seen on the stage in 2008 in Nicky Silver's
Three Changes.
Emotional Creature, an affecting new drama from the Tony winning author of
The Vagina Monologues, delves into the inner lives of girls across the world through a series of original monologues, stories and songs. McDermott went backstage after the show to show his support for the play's talented ensemble, including (from left) Emily Grosland, Olivia Oguma, Ashley Bryant, Sade Namei, Molly Carden and Joaquina Kalukango. Don't miss your chance to explore what it means to be a girl by seeing
Emotional Creature.
