It’s time to wave goodbye to 2012, a year filled with cheerleaders, paperboys, porn stars and Patti. Before the big ball drops in Times Square, Broadway.com decided to poll your favorite Broadway stars to get their take on the high point of the year we’re leaving behind—and what they’re hoping is in store for the year ahead! Find out what the stars had to say about their resolutions for 2013.
ANDY KARL (Neville Landless in The Mystery of Edwin Drood)
Highlight of 2012: “There are so many for me. In life, I'm happy that New Yorkers and New Jersey folks are pulling through the mess of Sandy. It’s a highlight to see people doing all they can to give charity and assistance to those who need it. As far as a ‘Broadway highlight,’ I'm in awe of the tremendous talents of the wonderful people I've been able to be on stage with this year, from Jersey Boys to Edwin Drood to workshops of Rocky. But I guess the biggest highlight was being voted as a lover with Chita Rivera in Drood. Seducing the legend of Broadway with her legs wrapped around me? One can only pause and say ‘highlight.’”
Resolution for 2013: “Take better care of my skin. I use a lot of face paint in Drood, which has resulted in the worst complexion I've had since I was 15. I'm reliving my youth, and not in a good way.”
