Light the menorah and spin those dreidels! Jackie Hoffman's one-woman holiday comedy, Jackie Hoffman’s A Chanukah Charol, begins performances at off-Broadway's New World Stages on December 8. The show, inspired by Patrick Stewart’s solo staging of A Christmas Carol, will play Friday and Saturday evenings, concluding its run on December 29.
Directed by Michael Schiralli, the holiday show finds the comedienne forced to examine her life when she is visited by the Ghosts of Chanukah Past, Present and Future, and even Molly Picon! Hoffman soon realizes that her quest for fame has turned her into a dark, desperate diva who would give Scrooge a run for his money.
Hoffman recently guest starred on TV's The New Normal. Her Broadway credits include The Addams Family, Xanadu and Hairspray. Off-Broadway she has been seen in Regrets Only, Pride & Joy, Book of Liz, Straightjacket, Incident at Cobbler’s Knob and One Woman Shoe.
