JORDAN GELBER (Buddy in Elf)
Highlight of 2012: "For me, it's a tossup between two incredible roles I was seen in this year: Abe in Todd Solondz's Dark Horse and Buddy in Elf on Broadway. In both cases, I had the rare fortune of being the lead. This doesn't happen for me too often, so I'm counting my lucky stars that it happened twice in one year. Not only that, but one was very dramatic, while the other was highly comical. A lot of actors dream of being able to show off the full spectrum of their abilities, and this year I was able to do just that. I have many many things to be thankful for, but these two roles were the true highlight of this year for me."
Resolution for 2013: "Other than making sure my son gets into a great preschool program, my main resolution would be to carry on with the momentum that 2012 has created for me. At the very least, I want to continue to approach each day with the energy and focus that Elf has forced me to have. We close on January 6, so this will be quite the challenge. Either I have to perform the show for my two-year-old son eight or nine times a week in our apartment in Brooklyn, or start going back to the gym and take activity-based classes, or land another great job as soon as possible. Hey casting directors and producers, I'm available after January 6. Please spare my son and don't make me have to go to the gym."
