Les Miz Star Eddie Redmayne Takes Home a Tropical Christmas Present During His Today Show Visit

It would be easy to assume a Tony-winning actor would have no trouble landing a role in the big screen adaptation of the Tony-winning musical Les Misérables, right? Turns out, not so much. Film star Eddie Redmayne (who won a 2010 Tony for Red) stopped by The Today Show on December 13 to explain the challenges of his “incredibly rigorous” audition process, and even compared nabbing the role of Marius to winning a reality show like American Idol. The Today team also heard Redmayne has a fondess for odd kitchen utensils, and delivered the adorable Brit a basket full of interesting cooking supplies. Take a look below!
