The clip begins with Swift laying in the middle of a trash-covered field, delivering a voiceover about the details of falling hard and fast for an edgy bad boy, played by Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark leading man Reeve Carney. The two star-crossed lovers endure makeout sessions in dirty motel rooms, bar room brawls, drugged-out dance floor raves and plenty of other distraught moments.
