Tickets are now available for the Broadway premiere of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, starring Tony nominee Laura Osnes as Cinderella, Santino Fontana as Prince Charming and Tony winner Victoria Clark as the fairy godmother Marie. Directed by Mark Brokaw, Cinderella begins performances at the Broadway Theatre on January 25 and will officially open on March 3.
The musical version of the classic fairytale Cinderella was originally made for TV in 1957, starring Oscar winner Julie Andrews. The new production features a completely reimagined book by Douglas Carter Beane and additional Rodgers and Hammerstein songs that were originally composed for other musicals, including “I’ve Lived and I’ve Loved” (cut from The Sound of Music) and “Now is the Time” (cut from South Pacific).
In addition to Osnes, Fontana and Clark, Cinderella will feature Tony winner Harriet Harris as Madame, Ann Harada as Charlotte, Marla Mindelle as Gabrielle, Peter Bartlett as Sebastian and Greg Hildreth as Jean-Michel.
