It’s a boy for Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy: The stage and screen stars welcomed their first child, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, on December 17, according to People.com, which quoted the new mom as saying she looks forward to “getting to know our new Dancy” over the holidays.
Danes won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Homeland, in which she plays bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison, and for Temple Grandin, plus a third Emmy nomination for My So-Called Life. She made her Broadway debut in Pygmalion.
Dancy has appeared on Broadway in Venus in Fur and Journey’s End and off-Broadway in The Pride. He has appeared in multiple episodes of The Big C and will appear in the forthcoming series Hannibal. Dancy and Danes met during the filming of the 2007 feature film Evening and have been married since 2009.
