Tickets are now on sale for the forthcoming Broadway production of Lyle Kessler’s Orphans, starring Tony nominee Alec Baldwin and Shia LeBeouf. Directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan, Orphans will begin performances on March 19, 2013 at the Schoenfeld Theatre. Opening night is set for April 7.
Set in North Philadelphia, Orphans tells the story of two orphaned brothers living in a decrepit row house. Older brother Treat (LaBouf) supports his damaged younger brother by petty thievery, and turns the house into a virtual prison for seemingly simple-minded Phillip. But when Treat kidnaps Harold (Baldwin), the rich, older man becomes the father figure the two brothers have always hoped for. Casting for the role of Phillip has not yet been announced.
