Watch Jennifer Hudson Belt Out the Brand New Smash Song 'I Can't Let Go'

There are plenty of reasons to be excited for the second season of Smash, especially now that Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson has joined the cast as a bodacious Broadway diva. In a sensational new clip, Hudson previews her killer role by belting out the original song “I Can’t Let Go” (written by composers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman) for her character’s own television concert special. Keen Broadway fans will also notice a few other familiar faces in the video, including Smash stars Megan Hilty and Katharine McPhee as well as newbies Jeremy Jordan, Andy Mientus and Sheryl Lee Ralph (as Hudson’s mother). Watch the clip below, and tune in for the season premiere of Smash on February 5.
