Rosie O’Donnell and her wife Michelle Rounds have welcomed a new member to their family. O’Donnell and Rounds announced the birth of their daughter Dakota via Twitter on January 9.
“We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our daughter, Dakota. #withloveandthanks – AMEN,” tweeted O’Donnell.
O’Donnell married Rounds in a private ceremony on June 9. Earlier in the year, O’Donnell suffered a heart attack, but has since recovered. O’Donnell has four other children, Parker, Vivienne, Blake and Chelsea.
O'Donnell has appeared on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, Grease and Seussical and produced the cult musical Taboo. She also frequently served as the host of Tony Awards, in additon to hosting her own talk shows The Rosie O'Donnell Show and The Rosie Show. Her many film and TV credits include Sleepless in Seattle, A League of Their Own, Harriet the Spy, Nip/Tuck, The Flintstones, Riding the Bus with My Sister, Queer as Folk, Will & Grace, Web Therapy and Curb Your Enthusiasm. She will also appear on the second season of NBC’s Smash.
