It’s opening night for Roundabout Theatre Company’s new revival of Picnic, the Pulitzer Prize-winning dramedy by William Inge about the languorous, lunching women in a small town in Kansas. Maggie Grace, Ellen Burstyn, Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Marvel, Reed Birney and Mare Winningham star in the production, which opens on January 13 at the American Airlines Theatre. The limited engagement is set to run through February 24.
First performed on Broadway in 1953, Picnic follows
Picnic’s creative team includes set designer Andrew Lieberman, costumes designer David Zinn, lighting designer Jane Cox, sound designer Jill B.C. Du Boff and choreographer Chase Brock.
